Big cities like New York have lots of attorneys specializing in different fields of law. However, very few of them stand out as exceptional lawyers with experience in finance. Sam Tabar is not just a distinguished attorney in New York City, he is also a capital strategist. This young man has been on the fast track to success since he graduated with honors from Oxford University.
The Early Years
After graduating from Oxford in 2000, Mr. Tabar went on to graduate from Columbia Law School in 2001. The experience Mr. Tabar gained working as associate editor for the Columbia Business Law Review, helped him acquire a position with the prominent law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slater, Meagher and Flom. His predominate practice at this firm was in counseling clients in the formation of hudge funds and investment management agreements. About.me shows pretty clearly that Sam Tabar gained a lot of experience working in areas that covered different aspects of business law, including employment and compliance issues. Mr. Tabar remained with the Skadden group until the fall of 2004, when he joined the Sparx group, which was a firm based out of Hong Kong.
Establishing A Name in the Business World
During his time with the Sparx group, Mr. Tabar worked primarily with investor relations, where he managed marketing for a hedge fund totaling more than 2 billion dollars. His main clients were institutional investors and individuals looking for high value projects. He also assisted the group in acquiring more than one billion dollars in assets. The knowledge and experience Mr. Tabar gained while working with the Sparx group allowed him to once again move forward in his career. In early 2011, he became the director and head of the capital strategy division for the Asia-Pacific region of The Bank of America, Merrill Lynch corporation. His talents were focused on investments concerning pensions, endowments and foundations.
After creating a stable foundation for himself, Mr. Tabar changed positions several more times to work with well distinguished firms such as Schulte, Roth and Zabel, where he specialized in assisting clients with hedge funds. In addition to the work Sam Tabar does in the world of law and finance, he also makes time to host special events and travel. Currently, he’s serving as the CEO of FullCycle Fund as of 2015.
